Wall Street ended higher on Monday as traders weighed in hopes for a ceasefire deal between the U.S. and Iran and for the normalization of the commodity markets.

The benchmark S&P 500 (SP500 [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SP500]) closed +0.45%, while the heavy-tech Nasdaq Composite (COMP:IND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/COMP:IND]) ended +0.54%, and the blue-chip Dow (DJI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DJI]) finished +0.36%.

Over in the bond market, the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield (US10Y [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/US10Y#hasComeFromMpArticle=false#source=section%3Amain_content%7Cbutton%3Abody_link%7Cfirst_level_url%3Anews]) was 2 basis points higher at 4.34%, while the 2-year Treasury yield (US2Y [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/US2Y#hasComeFromMpArticle=false#source=section%3Amain_content%7Cbutton%3Abody_link%7Cfirst_level_url%3Anews]) rose 3 basis points to 3.86%.
