NIO January Deliveries Nearly Double Year On Year

NIO Inc. (NIO) started 2026 on a strong note, delivering 27,182 vehicles in January, nearly double the level from a year earlier and up 96.1% year on year, according to the company's latest update.

The January total was driven mainly by NIO's core premium brand, which accounted for 20,894 vehicles, while newer lines are beginning to add real volume. The family-focused ONVO brand delivered 3,481 vehicles during the month, and FIREFLY, NIO's smaller high-end electric car line, contributed another 2,807 units, showing how the company's broader lineup is gaining traction.

That performance stands out because January is usually a quieter month for China's auto market due to the Lunar New Year. Even so, NIO managed to post strong growth, pushing cumulative deliveries to 1,024,774 vehicles as of Jan. 31, a milestone that highlights how quickly the company has scaled.
