iShares ETFs Undergo Splits, Fee Reductions

Yesterday, several key iShares ETFs experienced fee cuts and share splits. The affected funds are as follows:

The $4.6 billion iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 Value ETF (IJJ) underwent a two-for-one share split and saw its expense ratio reduced from 0.25% to 0.18%. The $7.1 billion iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 Growth ETF (IJK) undwent a four-for-one share split and saw its expense ratio reduced from 0.24% to 0.17%. The $5.1 billion iShares S&P Small-Cap 600 Value ETF (IJS) underwent a two-for-one share split and saw its expense ratio reduced from 0.25% to 0.18%. The $4.4 billion iShares S&P Small-Cap 600 Growth ETF (IJT) underwent a two-for-one share split and saw its expense ratio reduced from 0.25% to 0.18%. The $30.8 billion iShares S&P 500 Growth ETF (IVW)underwent a four-for-one share split, with no changes to its expense ratio.

“These actions are part of our regular review of pricing across our business and in line with our strategic pricing investments in ETF categories where we expect high future growth, and where clients are price-sensitive,” a spokesperson for BlackRock said.
