Alkami Technology gains on report activist Jana renews sale push

Alkami Technology (ALKT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ALKT]) rose 4.5% amid a report that activist Jana Partners is pushing the fintech company to restart a sales process, according to a Bloomberg report [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-05-28/jana-said-to-push-fintech-alkami-to-reboot-sales-process]on Thursday, which cited a person familiar with the matter.

The push comes after Bloomberg reported in late January that Alkami (ALKT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ALKT]) was exploring options, including a sale. [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4543757-alkami-technology-jumps-after-report-its-exploring-a-potential-sale] Jana still believes Alkami (ALKT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ALKT]) is a prime takeover candidate for private equity or a strategic buyer, according to the latest Bloomberg report.

Alkami Technology (ALKT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ALKT]) is undervalued and should explore a sale [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4529853-alkami-technology-should-explore-a-sale-activist-jana-says]to a rival or PE firm, Scott Ostfeld, managing member at Jana, said at the Bloomberg Activism Forum in New York in December.

Jana is among Alkami's (ALKT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ALKT]) top 10 holders with a ~5% stake as of the end of March.

Alkami didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment from Bloomberg, while Jana wasn’t immediately available to comment.
