These low-priced stocks are flashing overbought signals

Stocks trading below $10 often attract retail investors looking for high-growth opportunities at relatively low entry prices.

However, many of these low-priced equities can become overheated during strong rallies, making technical indicators such as the Relative Strength Index especially important for traders monitoring momentum and potential pullbacks.

The Relative Strength Index is one of the most widely used momentum indicators in technical analysis. It measures the speed and magnitude of recent price movements on a scale of 0 to 100. Traditionally, an RSI reading above 70 suggests that a stock may be overbought, while a reading below 30 indicates oversold conditions.

Although a high RSI often reflects strong bullish momentum, it can also signal that a stock may be vulnerable to short-term profit-taking or increased volatility.

The list is topped by Xeris Biopharma Holdings, Inc. (XERS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/XERS]), with an RSI of 84. Aveanna Healthcare Holdings Inc. (MEDXF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MEDXF]) rounding out the upper portion of the list at 76.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/RSI]) is a momentum oscillator that measures the velocity and magnitude of price changes, plotting them on a scale from 0 to 100. RSI compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses over a chosen lookback period—typically 14 days.
