Mortgage rates edged down ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, according to the latest Freddie Mac (OTCQB:FMCC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FMCC]) Primary Mortgage Survey [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20321421-mortgage-rates-decrease].

30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.23% as of November 26, down from 6.26% last week and 6.81% in the same period a year ago.

15-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.51%, down from 5.54% a week ago and 6.10% a year ago.

"With pending home sales at the highest level since last November, homebuyer activity continues to show resilience as we near the end of the year," said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac's chief economist.
