BuzzFeed under pressure after issuing going concern warning
Shares of BuzzFeed (BZFD) are trading lower on Friday following quarterly results and after it flagged going concern. The digital media company said it lacks resources to fund its cash obligations during the next year, and said it will not provide a forecast for 2026 as it evaluates strategic options. “While we’ve significantly reduced operating costs and real estate obligations, we’re still facing legacy commitments that are burdening the business,” Chief Financial Officer Matt Omer said in a statement. “We’re exploring strategic options to complete the work we started years ago and position the company to operate profitably on a sustainable basis.” PRICE ACTION: Shares dropped over 3% and are trading at 69c.
