Bell Canada prices C$1.6B and US$650M debt offerings to repay debt

Bell Canada, a subsidiary of BCE Inc. (BCE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BCE]), has announced concurrent multi-tranche public offerings [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20530788-bell-announces-offerings-of-canadian-mtn-debentures-and-us-notes] in Canada and the United States to raise capital.

In Canada, the company priced C$1.6 billion in MTN debentures in two series. The first series is C$900 million of 4.70% MTN debentures, Series M-69, maturing on November 15, 2036, priced at C$99.815 per $100 principal, yielding 4.723%.

The second series is C$700 million of 5.30% MTN debentures, Series M-70, maturing on June 3, 2056, priced at C$99.568 per $100 principal, yielding 5.329%.

These debentures are offered in all provinces of Canada and will be guaranteed by BCE Inc. Closing is expected on June 3, 2026, pending standard conditions.

Additionally, Bell announced a public offering in the United States of $650 million in U. S. senior notes, specifically $650 million 5.450% Series US-11 notes, maturing on November 15, 2036, priced at $99.917 per $100 principal, yielding 5.461%.

This offering is also guaranteed by BCE Inc., with closing anticipated on June 5, 2026, subject to customary conditions.

Bell Canada will use the proceeds from both offerings for repaying debt and general corporate purposes, including its ongoing tender offers.

The MTN debentures will be issued under a short form base shelf prospectus, while the US offering will follow a prospectus supplement related to a shelf registration statement.
