AIFU, SEZL, RIOT gap up, GLXY, BMA slide in week's biggest financial movers

Overall, financial stocks advanced with the broader equity market this week, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/XLF]) edging up 0.6%, trailing the S&P 500 Index's 1.5% gain.

Rising the most of any financial stock (with market cap over $2B) for the week ended June 6, Chinese insurance company AIFU (AIFU [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AIFU]) surged 32%;

Technology-enabled payment firm Sezzle (SEZL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SEZL]) jumped 24%, bringing its year-to-date gains to 202%;

Riot Platforms (RIOT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/RIOT]), which during the week posted a triple-digit Y/Y increase [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4454964-riot-platforms-boosts-bitcoin-production-139-yy-in-may] in bitcoin (BTC-USD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BTC-USD]) production, accelerated 22%;

Insurtech company Lemonade (LMND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/LMND]) logged a 19% rise; and

IREN (IREN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/IREN]), a fellow bitcoin (BTC-USD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BTC-USD]) miner, rounded out the five biggest winners with a 16% ascent.

On the negative side, Galaxy Digital (GLXY [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GLXY]) gapped down 12%;

Argentine lenders Banco Macro (BMA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BMA]) and BBVA Argentina (BBAR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BBAR]) slid 9.5% and 8.7%, respectively,

Freedom Holding (FRHC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FRHC]) drifted down 6%; and

FactSet Research Systems (FDS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FDS]) dipped 5.7%.
